I have been caught in a money scam, dunn dunn dunn. The name of this so called home online business is called the direct commerce academy. It had all started with me receiving a phone call on saturday evening from a representative with a thick Indian accent. I do not know how he had gotten my information from at first, but I will tell you more about that later. The representative was a male, who said that I signed up for the program when I visited a website that had the Kelly Richards’ ad. The website was some false news channel, that some ordinary person made over $6,000 a month using a home business kit. Well after reading some reviews on this direct commerce academy, Kelly Richards was not the person I had thought she turned out to be. Depending on where you live, she is some local woman that is a single mother who is struggling with her finances and turned to the internet to make some extra money. I have found out that the direct commerce academy is one of many affiliate marketing programs under Internet Cash Machine or ICM. The direct commerce academy is one of those scams that is too good to be true. When the guy called me about the program, he said all I had to do was pay for the $2.97 for shipping and handling for a five day trial. The guy sent me an email linked to the site where I was given a password and username in the email. When I talked to the man, I should have known something was up, because he kept saying,”so what is your number to your credit card,” but since it was less than three dollars, I guess it was worth a shot. This program included a five step startup, which was simple, but at every step I had to pay for something. The first step was for a website builder, and which nothing was built for me. Then a domain name, after I saw I had to pay for that, I cancelled my account the next day. After I cancelled my account, I did some research on this direct commerce academy. I had found out that these guys had hacked into people email and sent a link of that person email to their contacts and to the person of that email account. I was shocked, why would people do such a thing? I think this is how they got my information to call me. I had also found out that they charge you the activation fee of $139.95 a day or two before the trial period is up, even if you cancelled before the period the same day you purchased the program or the next day, it does not matter. These representatives also give out a lot of false numbers to customer services, which most of them are to another service that is not affiliate with direct commerce academy after they transfer you if you have additional questions. I have two more days to my trial period ends, I hope I do not get charged. I have cancelled my checking/debit account. I am here to warn people about this scam of a business. Here are some of their so called customer service numbers: 1-877-616-7330, 1-800-422-1949, 1-877-304-1469,1-877-875-6080,1-801-662-0756, 1-866-923-2681 hotline, 1- 877-304-1475, 1-877-304-1469,1-800-396-4039,1-800-841-6436,1-877-232-7318,1-888-804-1698,1-888-401-2762.
